This Edmonton wedding photographer set off on a plane to a wedding in Moncton, New Brunswick to share in a very special wedding. My boyfriend is the bride’s brother, so this was extremely sentimental.
What can I say about this wedding? The ceremony was perfection in a tiny chapel on the side of a church with a small group of loved ones in attendance. Father Stan had previously married the bride’s parents. The reception was a ball – we danced the night away after the camera equipment was safety stored in the car ;).
The bridal party was gorgeous. Bernadette and Matt’s first dance was to “Rainbow Connection” from the Muppets – “waka, waka!” The mother/son dance was one for the record books – starting with “Beth” from Kiss, it slowly merged into a dance off, including “Bye, Bye, Bye”, “Thriller”, and “Apache” (the song Will Smith and Carlton are known for in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air). The MC should have been a stand up comic, because she was hilarious. I captured memories while tears of laughter fell.
Thank you to these wonderful people for allowing me to share in their day.
